Marjorie A. Sullivan, President

Marjorie A. Sullivan (Maggie)(Maggie to her friends) is the founder and president of Maggie Sky Foundation, Inc.

Maggie advocates breaking the cycle of domestic violence, a pattern of learned behavior that is passed from generation to generation. As a survivor of various forms of abuse, this mission is her passion. "Together with everyone's help, we can make a difference."

Throughout her professional career, Maggie has been involved in entrepreneurial enterprises. Dedicated to encouraging women to be the best they can be, she has 20 years experience as a skin care consultant with Jafra Cosmetics, International. She has sponsored, trained and managed women to become accredited skin care consultants. For her first month as a new manager, she received the District Award as the number one New Manager of the Northeast Region, an award that included both her personal and team sales. She has continued to win numerous awards through her dedication and compassion to give women the opportunity to achieve success.

Before joining Jafra Cosmetics, Maggie owned and operated DaMar Modeling Agency where she hired, trained, and managed women for fashion shows, promotional and print work.

Her other professional experience includes acting, singing and songwriting. She is a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and American Federation of Television and Radio Artist (AFTRA).

Maggie divides her time between New York City and Springfield, MA.


Regina M. Rivenburgh, Vice President
Throughout her life, whether in a professional or volunteer capacity, Regina M. Rivenburgh (Reggie) has been active within organizations devoted to helping others.

For 35 years she has been affiliated with the Lions Clubs International, the world’s largest volunteer service organization. Reggie served as President of the Springfield Chapter for a short term before joining the Hampden Lioness Club. Known for its work to end preventable blindness, Reggie has been instrumental in raising funds for eye research, emergency sight and hearing, assistance for people in need of surgery and eye glasses, as well as The Clarke School for the Deaf and the Clara Barton Camp, a program of the Barton Center for Diabetes Education, Inc. One of the Lioness Club’s largest events is the annual spring fashion show, a fund raiser for the Charlotte E. Miller Youth Award – a scholarhip award to serve those less fortunate, those whom Charlotte E. Miller helped. Reggie is well-known to local businesses who donate generous door prizes for the raffle. The Lioness Club has also donated money to the Hampden’s Senior Center and the Town Library.

When she worked at the East Longmeadow, MA, Council of Aging as a cook for the seniors and the town’s shut-ins, she was diagnosed with lung cancer. She won the battle and returned to accept an office position. Reggie is also a survivor of breast cancer. The American Cancer Society has honored her 15-year dedication to their annual Daffodils Day event with a series of certificates.

Empowered by her strong faith, Reggie believes in encouraging people to overcome trials of adversity. Her volunteer hours helping students with mental and physical disabilities attain confidence and self-esteem have resulted in another certificate of appreciation.

Reggie’s courageous and victorious spirit inspires others. The Foundation is honored to have her as a member of its Board of Directors.



Michael J. Montera, Vice President of Finance
Michael (Mike), a finance professional, is a CFO of a global telecom company. Mike is a CPA and has an MBA, and has worked in the telecommunications industry for 12 years. Prior to that, he was in mergers and acquisitions for a software company in Northern Virginia. In addition to his demanding career and three children, Michael has supported Project Renewal, and time permitting, other organizations.

While he has never been affected directly by abuse, he is aware of too many examples and wants to lend a hand toward helping to break the cycle of violence. He has joined the board of the Maggie Sky Foundation, Inc. to share his professional expertise and his passion for making a difference. "I have been blessed in my life and I want to give back to society."


Neil R. Sullivan, Advisory Board has been a senior level manager with over 20 years of demonstrated achievements in multiple industries. He is seasoned in overall operations and bottom line profit contribution in the Telecommunications, Distribution, Manufacturing and Service industries.

For several years, he also served as a member of the Board of Directors and Advisory Committee for the ‘Western Massachusetts Federal Credit Union’, a Non-profit financial institution. Neil also volunteers time at both the New York City "Project Renewal" soup kitchen and the Holy Cross Church ‘food pantry’.

During Neil's business career, he has excelled in various capacities. For British Telecom (a global communications company), he holds the position of ‘Director of Finance’ for the Americas region. For Farmstead Telephone Group (an Avaya Equipment Dealer), he held the position of ‘Vice President & General Manager’. At Zero Corporation (a NYSE listed case & cabinet manufacturer), he first served as ‘Division CFO’ and was then promoted to ‘Vice President & General Manager’.

Neil has earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from Clark University and his Master's Degree in Business from Western New England College.


Susan Lapointe, Advisory Board, owner/designer, has dedicated more that twenty years to perfecting her creative talents. Building on a degree in Graphic Design, Susan rose through the ranks at Spalding Sports Worldwide to the position of Creative Director, which she held for 5 years. Intimately involved in all aspects of a creative department, Susan is well versed in all aspects of design including; product, graphics, and package design, printing and photography. She served as creative partner on teams responsible for planning and implementing domestic and international sales and marketing strategies. Susan developed expertise in theme, design, coordination and production of sales meetings and videos. In 2000, Susan founded TurningLeaf Design, dedicated to providing a full range of design services. Since that time she has successfully established a strong client list and continues her strong talents in design. Assisting all levels of businesses, from start up to fortune 100 / 500 companies across the United States. Currently, Susan sits on the Board of Directors for The Greater Easthampton Chamber of Commerce.  She was on the Board of Directors for Riverside Industries, Inc. from 2003 – 2009 and was 2003 Business Woman of the Year for Western Massachusetts Woman’s Business Owners Alliance.


Paige Lussier Johnson, Advisory Board received her BA from Keene State College, magna cum laude, in Theatre with a specialization in Acting/Directing and, a double minor in women's studies and psychology in 2002. Paige moved to NYC in November of 2002, as a Production Assistant. This job led to many other fantastic positions in theater management. Paige has worked for MCC, New Group, Playwrights Horizons, Signature Theater and Northern Stages in house management and technical positions. Paige has worked in the business world as a sales manger and event planner. Paige is also an actor, director, producer and writer. She recently wrote a children's book called "Evan the Evergreen: A Christmas Tree Story". Paige's website is: http://www.staigepatchy.com/


Javier Serna, Advisory Board has been the accounting/finance field for approximately 18 years. He has excelled in different areas such as Auditing - ISO and financial, all areas of accounting general ledger, billing, credit and collections, financial statement analysis, financial controls and treasury. He has worked both in the domestic as well as international markets.


For the last 5 years he has held the position of credit and billing manager for British Telecom (BT). In addition he has been involved in different projects affecting different departments in helping to implement best business practices. Prior to BT Javier worked for Altria, a fortune 500 company, where he excelled in several roles in various finance departments and affiliates.


Javier is also an accounting instructor at La Guardia College where he teaches two introductory courses of Accounting I and II. Over the years he has volunteered for different organizations such as Aspira, Brooklyn Queens Catholic diocese, Lamp Ministries, as well as various Latin American organizations.

Javier earned his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bernard Baruch College in New York.


Donna (Saunders) Bailey-Thompson, Advisory Board
Between 1965 and 1987, Donna Bailey-Thompson survived two overtly abusive marriages that ranged from emotional and psychological abuse to physical violence. Her factual, fast-paced book www.starkravingsober.com invites the reader to join her as she descends into codependency and then claws her way back to sanity, independence, and to the threshold of a new and happy marriage with an emotionally healthy mate. Donna was born in Missouri, grew up in Massachusetts, lived briefly in Maine, Connecticut and Rhode Island, and longer in North Carolina, Florida, Ohio, and Maryland, before returning as a widow to Springfield, Massachusetts.

She has been an executive secretary; manager of a professional summer theater; radio hostess focusing on the performing arts; editor of a small newspaper and city magazine; owner and manager of a family campground; teaching editor of student-produced bilingual inner city paper; freelance writer and founding publisher/editor of a monthly magazine that for most of the 1990s was “directed to anyone in recovery from anything”, which regularly featured domestic violence articles www.challenges.com.

Within weeks following the murder of Nicole Brown Simpson, she designed a large button to call attention to domestic violence: red letters on a white background, “Remember Nicole 1959–1994.” Rights to the button were sold for $1 to the Brown family. Active in Al-Anon Family Groups for eight years, Donna also participated in four family residential treatment programs. She has facilitated “Women Who Love Too Much” groups and workshops focused on domestic violence. She has more than 12,000 hours of peer counseling experience. Donna is the mother of two children, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
